COACH LARRY KOSER - Larry found his way into gymnastics by accident when he was recruited by a small gym in Houston to coach recreational gynastics and tumbling classes. At the time, he was just finishing school at Langham Creek High School where he was selected as a UCA All-Star cheerleader and was sent to London to represent UCA in the 1992 All-Star New Years Day Parade!
After developing his coaching abilities in competitive cheerleading, recreational tumbling and gymnastics, Larry came to work for Mizo and Kellie at the very first Champion Gymnastics location established in 1996. Over the next couple of years, Larry expanded his coaching knowledge base and began coaching compulsory team girls [competitive levels 4-6], as well as preschool classes. [preschool is a very specific training to deal with younger children].
Larry left Champion Gymnastics to attend college at Sam Houston State University, and upon returning to Houston, said goodbye to gymnastics with a heavy heart, to take a position with a large bank in their mortgage division.
Larry never forgot his true passion for gymnastics and his love of working with children, and almost a decade later, has come back to the gymnastics world! We couldn't be any more excited to have him back as a member of the Champion Gymnastics family and hope you will join us in welcoming him!
