The Talent Behind the Success
Kellie Mizoguchi was a former competitive gymnast in her home town of St. Louis, MO. While still competing, she became a qualified judge at the age of 16 years. At 18, she began her own competitive program and, at the end of the first year, her team won the State Title. She was nominated NAWGJ State Judging Director at the age of 18 and held this position for two years until she devoted all of her time to coaching. At the age of 20 years and with the help of her family, she opened her own gym. She has coached numerous state, regional and national champions. She is a nationally ranked Choreographer as well as an Elite coach. Kellie is co-owner and co-coach of Champion Gymnastics Academy with her husband, Coach Mizo.
Most recently, Kellie has had three of her gymnasts receive college scholarships to Stanford, Minnesota and Penn State. Her goal is to coach in a positive way that teaches them life's lessons on the way.
On a personal side, Kellie has three children of her own, Kyle, Krista and Tyler. She also owns two dogs, CoCo and Leia. She loves most sports, being outside and dreams of living on a lake.
